From an early age, Justin understood that technology could be more than just machines and code; it could be a force for solving real business challenges. That belief became the cornerstone of his career and his calling. As a child, Justin’s father put the family computer in his room at the ripe age of 3 years old. By 3 years old, Justin had typed his name on the computer in Microsoft Word.

While most students were still figuring out their path, Justin accelerated through a demanding academic track at Marist College, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Master of Science in Information Systems in just four years, completing what was designed to be a five-year program. This relentless drive to learn and achieve set the stage for everything that followed.

At just 19 years old, Justin stepped into IBM Research as a systems administrator intern, eager to test himself in the real world. Justin worked on the team that handled the physical data center needs for the IBM Watson supercomputer that played on the show Jeopardy. Justin learned the ins and outs of advanced IT systems administration through his mentors at IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY.

His determination and ability to see the bigger picture quickly propelled him forward. Before long, he was advising Fortune 500 clients as a sales engineer, helping some of the world’s largest companies unlock the power of data analytics.

But Justin’s story isn’t only about technology; it’s about values. As a proud Eagle Scout, he carries the principles of integrity, service, and resilience into every role he takes on. These values remain the compass guiding his work today.

Now, as President of smartIT, Justin combines deep technical expertise with visionary leadership. He and his team guide startups, nonprofits, schools, SMBs, and enterprises through critical IT and cybersecurity decisions that not only protect their operations but also fuel their growth. And while he leads from the front, Justin is never above rolling up his sleeves, whether it means troubleshooting in a network closet or personally stepping in during a client’s time of need.
